Collaboration
Learn about collaboration in Supa Colors Studio.
Workspaces
Workspaces are work spaces that can be personal or team-based. Each workspace contains its Color Systems and can have members with different access levels.
- Personal Workspace: Your personal workspace. All Color Systems you create belong to your personal workspace by default. Only you can access it.
- Team Workspace: Shared workspace with team members. You can invite members, manage permissions, and collaborate on Color Systems. Ideal for design and development teams.
Team Workspace features:
- Send invites via email
- Manage members and permissions
- Share Color Systems between members
- See which members were recently active (last 30 minutes)
- Customizable team settings
You can create multiple team workspaces for different projects. Each member can belong to multiple teams simultaneously.
Version History
Version History allows you to track changes to your Color System over time, save snapshots at important milestones, and restore previous versions if needed.
Features:
- Automatic Snapshots: The system automatically tracks changes to palettes, styles, collections, and settings. You can view the current state ("Now") or any previous version.
- Manual Versions: Create named versions at important milestones (e.g., "v1.0 - Initial Release", "v2.0 - Brand Update"). Manual versions are saved permanently and can be restored.
- Version Comparison: Compare any two versions side-by-side to see what changed. View differences in palettes, styles, collections, and settings with visual indicators.
- Restore Versions: Restore your Color System to any previous version. This replaces all current data with the selected version's snapshot.
- Timeline View: Visual timeline showing all versions chronologically. Navigate through history to see how your system evolved.
How to use Version History:
- Open Version History from the editor header (clock icon)
- Browse versions in the timeline sidebar
- Select a version to view its state in the main area
- Compare versions by selecting two versions
- Create a manual version by clicking "Save Version" and giving it a name
- Restore a version by selecting it and clicking "Restore"
Restoring a version replaces all current data. Make sure to save a manual version before restoring if you want to keep your current state.
Version History tracks all changes including palette colors, shade overrides, style settings, collection organization, and system settings. This gives you complete control over your color system's evolution.
