Collaboration

Learn about collaboration in Supa Colors Studio.

Workspaces

Workspaces are work spaces that can be personal or team-based. Each workspace contains its Color Systems and can have members with different access levels.

  • Personal Workspace: Your personal workspace. All Color Systems you create belong to your personal workspace by default. Only you can access it.
  • Team Workspace: Shared workspace with team members. You can invite members, manage permissions, and collaborate on Color Systems. Ideal for design and development teams.

Team Workspace features:

  • Send invites via email
  • Manage members and permissions
  • Share Color Systems between members
  • See which members were recently active (last 30 minutes)
  • Customizable team settings

Sharing & Publishing

You can share your Color System with others through link sharing or publish it to the Community for everyone to discover.

To access sharing options:

  • Open the Color System you want to share in the editor
  • Click the Share button (share icon) in the editor header
• The Share dialog opens with all sharing options

Link Sharing:

  • Enable link sharing to generate a private link
  • Anyone with the link can view your system (read-only)
  • You can disable link sharing at any time to revoke access
  • The link includes a secure token for access control

Publishing to Community:

  • In the Share dialog, find the "Publish to Community" section
  • Toggle the publish switch to make your system public
  • Published systems appear in the Community section for everyone
  • Others can view, like, and clone your system
  • You can unpublish at any time from the same dialog

You maintain full control:

  • Only you can edit the original system
  • Others can only view and clone (creating their own copy)
  • Track likes and clone count in the Share dialog
  • Updates to your system are reflected in the published version

Version History

Version History allows you to track changes to your Color System over time, save snapshots at important milestones, and restore previous versions if needed.

Features:

  • Automatic Snapshots: The system automatically tracks changes to palettes, styles, collections, and settings. You can view the current state ("Now") or any previous version.
  • Manual Versions: Create named versions at important milestones (e.g., "v1.0 - Initial Release", "v2.0 - Brand Update"). Manual versions are saved permanently and can be restored.
  • Version Comparison: Compare any two versions side-by-side to see what changed. View differences in palettes, styles, collections, and settings with visual indicators.
  • Restore Versions: Restore your Color System to any previous version. This replaces all current data with the selected version's snapshot.
  • Timeline View: Visual timeline showing all versions chronologically. Navigate through history to see how your system evolved.

How to use Version History:

  • Open Version History from the editor header (clock icon)
  • Browse versions in the timeline sidebar
  • Select a version to view its state in the main area
  • Compare versions by selecting two versions
  • Create a manual version by clicking "Save Version" and giving it a name
  • Restore a version by selecting it and clicking "Restore"
